The Ohio Chapter of The Naloxone Project was established in 2023.

We aim to have 100% of emergency departments and additional hospital units distribute naloxone to at-risk patients and families before discharge.

Ohio has had successes so far and good momentum moving forward! We have a solid supporter/sponsor in the Ohio Senate, Dr. Terry Johnson, who is working with his office to develop Ohio legislation surrounding naloxone distribution. We have signed letters of support from several state medical and harm reduction organizations.
