The Kentucky Naloxone Project was started in 2023.

Our goals are to partner with the Kentucky Hospital Association, Kentucky Bridge program, and Kentucky State Opioid Stewardship programs to provide naloxone to those at risk for overdose in our state.

We are working on barriers like naloxone availability in rural pharmacy settings and Medicaid reimbursement restrictions. We are hoping for the naloxone project to continue to gain support and build an infrastructure in our state to work on legislation and regulations.
